Choose Sony PC Remote save behavior before capture

Decide whether the camera, computer, or both should hold each photo.

Sony PC Remote can be configured for different save destinations. Set this before a booth session so the computer’s review workflow and the camera card behave as expected, then verify it with one frame.

Pick the destination

Open the camera’s PC Remote save-destination setting and choose the documented option that matches the job: computer only, computer plus camera, or camera only where available on that model. Sony’s Help Guide notes that choices and restrictions are camera-specific.

Check card and transfer

If retaining an in-camera backup, insert a card and confirm it has room. If sending to the computer, select the intended folder in the desktop workflow and wait for the transfer to finish before disconnecting. Some older model guides state no-card restrictions; check the exact body’s help guide rather than applying one model’s caveat universally.

Verify both copies

Shoot one test image. Confirm the computer copy opens and, when dual saving is selected, that the camera also records its copy. Repeat with the actual capture format you plan to use, since large RAW files can change transfer timing and the booth’s pace.
