Sony PC Remote may wait for a full transfer before displaying a captured image. On supported models configured for RAW+JPEG, choosing JPEG-only computer transfer can make review appear sooner while preserving the camera’s selected capture format.

Set the capture format first

On a supported Sony body, set the still-image format to RAW & JPEG, then open its PC Remote image-transfer setting and choose JPEG Only for the computer transfer. Sony’s Help Guide says this transfer choice is available only when the camera’s capture format is RAW & JPEG.

Keep the original safe

Choose a save destination that retains the intended original on the camera or computer, according to the body’s available PC Remote options. Verify the setting names for the exact model; Sony’s Help Guide lists destination and transfer controls by camera and firmware generation.

Compare a test pair

Capture one RAW+JPEG frame and confirm the computer receives the expected JPEG while the original capture remains available in the configured location. Use the faster transfer only if the booth needs quick visual review; it does not speed shutter response or change the lighting and exposure of the captured image.
