Inside the booth
Find a camera-buffer limit behind missing or delayed booth frames
Check whether rapid capture is filling internal memory before files reach storage.
A camera can accept triggers normally at first, then slow down or leave gaps when rapid captures fill its internal buffer. That can look like a flaky booth button or a slow transfer service. Separate exposure timing from file-writing behavior by testing a known sequence and watching the camera’s documented buffer or card-activity indicators.
Reproduce the sequence limit
Use a repeatable trigger interval and shoot beyond the number of frames that usually precedes a gap. Compare the first few captures with later ones, including the card-access indicator and any remaining-frame or buffer display. If the interval changes as the sequence continues, preserve the test files and settings before changing the trigger software.

Understand the buffer boundary
Nikon’s camera guide explains that when its buffer is full, the displayed burst count can fall to zero and the frame rate drops. It also warns not to remove the card while the access lamp is lit because unsaved images may be lost. Buffer capacity and behavior vary with camera, image format, card and settings, so do not copy a frame-count threshold from another model.

Validate the actual production load
Repeat the test with the booth’s RAW/JPEG choice, tether mode and expected capture rhythm. Check that every original file appears in the intended destination and that the camera finishes writing before shutdown or card removal. If the setup cannot maintain its target cadence, adjust the capture interval or storage configuration and repeat the complete sequence.
