Give the booth helper a proper break
Keep the setup understandable when one person steps away.
A booth that depends on one tired helper needs a simple cover plan.
Prepare a short handover
Write the start steps, approved settings, print pickup and failure contact on a brief card. Let the covering helper run a test while the usual person is present. Keep account credentials and private guest information off the public card. Agree which problems require pausing the booth rather than improvising.
Make the break visible
Tell the host who is covering and for how long. If there is no trained cover, display a clear temporary pause instead of leaving guests guessing. Check supplies and a sample result when the original helper returns. Breaks belong in the run sheet, not in an emergency after the setup has already stalled.
