Make & keep
Photo booth prints cropped, blank or the wrong size?
Separate the layout file, print settings and connection before changing everything.
When a strip prints incorrectly, start with the exported file. A good file sent with the wrong scale needs a different fix from a layout that is already cropped. Change one step at a time and keep a copy of the original output.
Open the file before printing again
Check whether every frame and caption exists inside the saved image. If a face is missing there, return to the capture or layout stage. If the whole file is correct, compare its aspect ratio with the selected paper and print area. A narrow strip cannot fill a wider sheet without borders, stretching or cropping.
Check fit, fill and scale
“Fit” usually preserves the whole image within the available area, while “fill” can crop to cover it. Examine the preview and make one physical proof. If exact size matters, check the result with a ruler. Do not assume the paper’s nominal dimensions guarantee the photograph’s dimensions.
A borderless setting can introduce its own expansion or trimming. Use the printer or lab’s documentation for that particular workflow.
Check paired-strip preparation
DNP’s Hot Folder Print guide specifies a full-sheet image for particular two-strip settings. Supplying a single narrow strip to the wrong arrangement can produce a rotated or misplaced result. Use the documented preset and a matching file, rather than trying random scaling changes.

When nothing prints
Record whether the image reaches the print queue and whether an error appears on the device. Check power, connection, selected printer, correct media and supplies. Follow the manufacturer’s ordinary recovery instructions; do not force material through a jam.
For an event, switch to the agreed digital-delivery or backup plan while resolving the printer problem. Tell guests what they will receive and when. Resume normal printing only after a complete test succeeds, including the layout, cut and collection of the finished strip.
