Inside the booth
Photo booth printers: strips, sheets and compatibility
Understand what must work between the finished image and the paper.
A booth printer needs to accept the output your system produces and make the physical size your guests expect. Start by specifying that output. A narrow digital strip, a paired 4×6 sheet and a photograph sent through a sharing app are not interchangeable print jobs.
Check formats and the cut
DNP lists 2×6 and 4×6 formats for the DS620. Its software documentation explains paired-strip arrangements. That is evidence about one printer family and workflow, not proof that every photo printer can automatically cut strips.

Trace the connection
Identify how the image reaches the printer: a computer driver, supported print server, vendor software or another documented route. Confirm compatibility for the precise phone, tablet or operating system. A printer being wireless does not automatically mean the booth app can send the right layout to it.
Test the actual cable or wireless arrangement before the event. Keep a record of the working configuration so you can restore it after an ordinary interruption.
Count sheets, strips and sessions separately
A pair of strips on one sheet can make two keepsakes, but it still consumes the media for that sheet. Estimate expected sessions and copies using the format you will print. Ask a rental supplier whether its allowance is counted as sheets, strips or completed sessions.
Do not estimate throughput from a printer’s image-only specification alone. Capture, rendering, transmission, printing, cutting and collection all occupy time in the complete booth route.
Make a proof before buying more supplies
Print a test with faces near the frame edges and a small caption. Check the cut, colour and legibility. Use media intended for the printer and follow its loading instructions. Keep enough access space to reload it without taking apart the posing area.
For a personal strip, a normal photo-lab sheet printed and cut later may be enough. Immediate event printing is a different job and should be evaluated as a whole system.
