Make & keep
Set an exact Inkscape page size for a photo-strip print
Define the page before laying out art so export bounds match the intended print.
Inkscape’s page is the exported boundary when using Page export. Set that page to the required print shape before arranging photos and captions. This avoids including pasteboard objects and makes the document’s final dimensions easier to check. A fixed page also gives the layout a stable reference during revisions.
Open page settings
Choose File → Document Properties and use the page controls to set width and height in the required units. Keep the page ratio appropriate for the intended print, and confirm the units before entering numeric values.

Fit artwork deliberately
Place the strip and its caption inside the page, leaving any desired margin within the boundary. Do not resize the page to drawing content if the output must keep a fixed print size.

Check export bounds
Use Page in the PNG export dialog and inspect the resulting pixel dimensions. If the exported page is clipped, return to Document Properties and compare its dimensions with the layout before changing individual object sizes.
