Make & keep
Embed linked booth photos before handing an Inkscape file to another station
Make an SVG self-contained when the linked photo would otherwise travel separately.
An Inkscape SVG can reference an external image file. If that file moves, the artwork may reopen with a missing image. For a one-file handoff, embed the picture and reopen the SVG on the destination station to confirm the link is no longer required.
Check the import choice
When importing a picture, review whether it is linked or embedded. A linked image can keep the SVG smaller and can be updated from its original file, but the asset must remain at the expected path.

Embed for handoff
If the SVG must travel alone, select the linked image and use the Embed command from its context menu. Save the document under a new name so the delivery version can be distinguished from the source project.

Test the package
Move or copy the SVG to a separate folder and reopen it there. Confirm the portrait appears and the clip is intact. Keep the original image separately as a source asset if future replacement or archival access matters.
