Choose the right Fujifilm TETHER APP workflow for your body
Separate remote live view from automatic file transfer and settings backup.
Fujifilm has folded older X Acquire functions into TETHER APP, but camera compatibility differs by feature. Decide whether you need live computer control, automatic transfer, Lightroom integration, or settings backup before connecting.
Map the job to a feature
For a GFX computer-operated portrait setup, the product page describes live view, camera-setting changes, and capture from the computer. For other supported bodies, automatic image transfer or save/load of camera settings may be the relevant function. Read the current compatibility chart for the specific body and computer.

Select transport and app
Use a supported USB or network connection, then choose the documented TETHER APP mode. If you rely on Lightroom Classic integration, verify that plug-in workflow and version separately instead of assuming it behaves like standalone tether capture.

Run a small test
Capture one file and confirm it reaches the intended computer destination; for settings backup, check that a backup file was created. Fujifilm’s download page lists versions and compatibility notes, and those can change. Do not follow old X Acquire instructions as if that app were still the current setup path.
