Inside the booth
Check print registration before trimming booth strips
A crop can look right on screen while the printer cuts at a different position.
Some event printers use perforated media or cut a large sheet into smaller outputs. Small alignment errors can trim a border or caption even when the image file itself is correctly framed.
Separate file bounds from physical feed
The image layout defines pixels, while the printer driver, media path and cutter determine where the physical edge lands. A borderless or perforated print may have less usable margin than a screen preview suggests.

Print a registration sample
Use a replaceable test sheet with visible safe margins and a center mark. Print through the actual booth software, driver and media combination, then compare the cut edge on every side. Repeat enough times to distinguish a one-off misfeed from a consistent offset.
Keep critical content inside a safe area
Move faces, dates and captions away from the cut line based on the measured sample. Record the printer model, driver, media and layout version. Recheck after replacing the media type or changing print size because the physical feed can change. Mark the feed direction on the sample, too; a symmetric border can conceal a half-turn rotation.
