Inside the booth
A four-frame portrait with a book
Use a reading gesture without hiding the sitter.
A book offers a simple sequence of attention, reaction and return.
Keep it lightweight
Use a comfortable book or replaceable prop and keep its cover away from the face. Try looking at the camera, glancing at a page, reacting and looking back. Check the crop before the session so hands and book remain visible without forcing an awkward seated position.
Choose the caption carefully
Use your own short wording or a verified quotation you are entitled to reproduce. Do not assume any visible page or cover can be freely republished commercially. Keep an uncaptioned version of the portrait and let the participant choose whether the reading sequence feels natural.
