Make & keep
Prepare a clear photo strip print order
Give the printer dimensions, quantity and a file you have actually checked.
A print order can fail through misunderstanding even when the image is good. A short specification tells the recipient what object you want made and gives you something precise to compare with the delivered proof.
Write the object first
Our order sheet states finished width and height, orientation, quantity and whether you expect one strip or a paired sheet. Include units. A request for a photo strip without dimensions leaves room for a different format from the one you imagined.
Describe cropping and cutting
Say whether borders must remain visible and where any cut should fall. Ask the printer which bleed or margin instructions apply to its process. DNP’s documentation shows that cutting support depends on the actual equipment and media, so do not promise automatic cutting from file dimensions alone.
Evidence: Manufacturer documentation
Approve a proof against the sheet
Check one sample for size, caption, faces and both copies if you ordered a pair. Keep the submitted file and the approved proof together. If you change a name or a frame afterwards, treat that as a new version so the printer does not accidentally produce the earlier one.
