Make & keep
Print a two-sided strip keepsake
Test which way the printer turns the paper.
A message on the reverse needs an orientation test before the final portraits are printed.
Use a marked plain-sheet test
Mark the top and front of an expendable sheet and run the intended two-sided workflow. Observe which way the printer turns or reinserts it. Follow the printer’s supported media and duplex guidance. Write down the successful orientation rather than guessing with the finished photographic paper.
Proof the actual design
Check that the reverse caption lines up with the intended strip and does not cross a cut boundary. Print one complete proof before producing copies. Keep a one-sided master file too, so the portrait can be reused without repeating the duplex layout or exposing a private reverse message.
