Estimate how many photobooth sessions fit into an event

A booth’s capture countdown is only part of the time each group occupies it. Include getting into position, deciding what to do and collecting the result before estimating how many sessions can fit into the evening.

Time the complete cycle

Our model begins when a group approaches and ends when the next group can start. Measure a rehearsal cycle with the actual app and any printer. Do not substitute a manufacturer’s printing time for the whole guest session.

Calculate a realistic ceiling

If a measured cycle takes 3 minutes, a 60-minute window has a theoretical ceiling of 20 sessions. Reserving 15 minutes for interruptions leaves 45 minutes, or 15 such cycles. These numbers are an example, not typical timings for Flashroom or a guarantee about a live event.

Plan for clustered arrivals

Offer a clear place to wait and let guests return later. Rehearse how they receive the file or print, since that can create a second bottleneck. Flashroom’s countdown is one step in the sequence; the event operator still needs to plan entry, collection and a comfortable exit.
