Inside the booth
Use feed-direction marks to diagnose a strip that prints off-centre
A simple asymmetric test reveals rotation, scaling and printer-feed errors.
A centered preview can become a shifted physical print if the layout or driver rotates and scales the page differently. An asymmetric test pattern makes the transformation easier to see.
Create a diagnostic layout
Use a disposable sheet with a top arrow, centerline and safe-margin boxes on all four edges. Include a narrow border and one clearly labelled corner. Keep the design within the printer’s supported media size.

Follow the file through the driver
Compare the exported image, print preview and physical sample. Check orientation, fit-to-page scaling, borderless mode and cutter settings. A rotated file and a driver rotation can cancel or compound each other, so trace each stage in order.
Save the corrected preset
Once the sample is centered, save the driver and application settings with the printer and media identity. Reprint after a driver update, media-width change or new printer. A correct digital crop alone does not verify the physical feed path. If the asymmetry flips while margins stay equal, inspect orientation metadata before changing the physical cutter offset.
