A welcoming portrait setup offers choices about what appears in the picture. Ask the guest how they want to be framed rather than deciding for them.

Offer framing choices

Discuss a close portrait or a wider composition when useful. Do not assume the wheelchair must be hidden or that it should be included in every frame. Move equipment as needed while keeping access comfortable. Never move a person or their mobility equipment without their agreement.

Adjust the camera position

Test the height, distance and final strip crop. Keep the guest’s eyeline and preferred pose comfortable rather than asking them to compensate for a setup chosen around standing participants. Check the approach route and room to turn, including where a helper or companion will stand.

Review together

Show the completed sample and invite changes to the crop or pose. Offer a quiet sequence with optional movement. An accessible arrangement is a practical conversation with the person, not a single demonstration photograph that proves the whole event accommodates every mobility requirement.
