Run a photo booth without a printer
Design the digital handoff as carefully as the capture.
A digital-only booth can still give guests a keepsake, provided they know how to receive it. Decide the handoff before the event rather than leaving a queue of people asking where their pictures went.
Choose one delivery route
Our plan uses the route available and tested on the actual devices. It might be a direct file transfer or another agreed channel. Do not promise a QR gallery, automatic message or social publication if your app does not provide that feature.
Test as a recipient
Make a sample session, send the result through the planned route and open it on a second device. Confirm the full strip, caption and image dimensions. Keep that test separate from any claim that the transfer preserves every original format; Apple documents that some sharing routes may convert supported media.

Set expectations at the start
A short sign can say digital strip, no paper print, then explain the verified collection step. Flashroom provides the saved portrait, while the event’s delivery method must be arranged separately. Let guests decline public sharing and make it clear whether any copy will remain with the organiser.
