Make an outfit diary with photo strips

Keep the framing consistent while recording a few personal details.

An outfit portrait can be a record of a choice rather than a performance for an audience. A strip gives you room for a clear view, a detail and a change of expression.

Decide what the frame can show

Our plan begins with the face and visible clothing, then uses one frame for a collar, accessory or other detail that fits comfortably. If the outfit needs a full-length view, make that separately rather than pretending a close-up strip records the whole garment.

Record the real occasion

Keep the date and a short note: what you wore it for, what was borrowed or what you changed. Those details distinguish a personal diary from an anonymous style collage. Save a plain rendering alongside a strong colour effect if you want to remember the garment’s appearance.

Compare like with like

Use a repeatable camera arrangement for later entries and note major lighting changes. Flashroom’s eight moods are creative looks, so differences between booth styles should not be treated as exact colour documentation. Choose the look for the keepsake and keep a separate reference when colour accuracy matters.
