Diagnose a camera that disconnects from LumaBooth for Windows
Check competing camera software, cable path, and power before rebuilding the booth.
When LumaBooth for Windows loses a tethered camera, use the vendor’s troubleshooting order to isolate the connection. The support page separates common USB and power problems from model-specific Canon and Nikon settings.
Remove competing access
Quit other camera software such as Lightroom or Mac Photos, and close Nikon Camera Control when using Nikon. For Canon troubleshooting, LumaSoft recommends confirming the camera connects with standard EOS Utility, then closing EOS Utility before restarting the booth app. Do not leave two programs trying to control the body.

Simplify the cable and power
Use a short, known-good USB cable connected directly to the computer, then test a different port. Remove an unreliable hub from the chain; if a low-power mini PC or tablet is involved, the support guide suggests a powered hub where needed. Check that camera power and auto-shutdown are stable.

Test camera-specific settings
Set the camera to Manual mode and consult the vendor article for body-specific live-view or USB settings. Take a test capture and confirm the connection remains through repeated sessions. Support guidance includes exclusions and model-specific caveats; check the current supported-camera list before assuming every body can be stabilized.
