Separate digiCamControl captures into named event sessions

Keep each booth’s destination, backup, and sequence independent.

digiCamControl sessions can store their own folder and filename template. Use a separate session per event or station so the next operator does not accidentally mix images or continue an old counter.

Create a clean session

Open Session and add a new session with a name that identifies the event and camera position. Check the inherited properties before saving, because a new session can inherit settings from the Default session. Choose a writable destination folder outside temporary downloads.

Set the file pattern

Configure the filename template and counter. The guide supports using a backslash in a template to create a subfolder, and a counter can increment after each transfer. Add a backup folder if you want the captured files copied to a second location.

Test before guests arrive

Capture one image and verify its folder, name, and backup copy. Switch to another session and check that its destination and counter remain separate. Use harmless station labels rather than guest names; the folder structure should help the operator retrieve files without exposing identities.
