How to find a photo booth near you
Separate public portrait booths, passport machines and event rentals before choosing a destination.
“Photo booth near me” can mean a place to take a strip today, a passport machine or somebody who rents equipment. Add the kind of output you want before searching the map. A nearby wedding supplier may not have a public machine you can walk into.
Name the experience
Try “analogue photobooth”, “Korean four-cut”, “photo sticker booth” or “passport photo booth” with your town or neighbourhood. If you want a physical visit, check that the result is a public location rather than an online tool or a rental business.
For black-and-white chemical strips, look for an operator who explicitly describes analogue processing. A monochrome sample picture alone cannot establish the process.
Start with an operator locator
AUTOFOTO publishes a locator for its London and Barcelona booths. Photoautomat publishes Berlin locations. Operator lists are useful starting points, but availability and venue access still need checking. Our city guides link to those lists and explain the type of visit they support.

Confirm the practical details
Check the date of a listing, whether the booth is indoors, whether venue entry is required and how payment works. Look for recent information from the operator or venue. A photograph of a booth on social media can be an old memory rather than a current destination.
If the journey matters, contact the venue before travelling. A published address does not prove that a machine is working at the moment you arrive.
Prepare for the session
Choose a short posing sequence before paying. Allow space around faces and check how many exposures the session includes. Keep the result flat until it is ready to handle according to the operator’s instructions.
Use official document-photo guidance when your goal is identification. For a souvenir, choose the experience you enjoy and save any digital copy offered. This page is a finding method, not a live global map or a claim that every listed booth is currently open.
