Route Sparkbooth full prints and cut strips to separate printers

Set up a printer pool so full layouts and duplicate strips go to the intended device.

If an event offers both a full photo and cut-apart duplicate strips, Sparkbooth can route those layout types to separate printers. Configure the layout and printer pool together, then verify the guest choice does not send a cut job to the full-print device.

Add and classify printers

Add both printers to Sparkbooth’s printer pool, then designate one for full prints and one for cut prints. If you use several printers for the same class, the product guide says Sparkbooth can cycle jobs across those printers.

Mark the duplicate-strip layout

In the layout editor, enable Display Split for the duplicate strip, or create a layout with Strip Layout Printed Doubled enabled. Turn on guest photo-layout selection if visitors should choose between a full print and the cut-strip option.

Test routing and cutting

Run one test with each layout choice and confirm the correct printer receives the job. Check the physical print before cutting: both duplicate strips should be present and oriented for the printer’s media. The software routes by layout configuration, so a visually similar but unmarked layout may not use the intended printer.
