Make & keep
Check a strip image’s dimensions and location in Preview
Use Preview’s Inspector to verify pixel resolution and review available image metadata before delivery.
A file can look correct on screen but be too small for printing or still contain a location tag. Preview’s Inspector can show image resolution and other available information. The fields depend on the file, so treat missing metadata as unavailable rather than proof that the original capture never had it.
Open the Inspector
Open the image in Preview and click the Info button in the toolbar. Use General Info to check the file’s basic details, then More Info to see image metadata and, when present, where the photograph was taken. The Inspector may also list assigned keywords and annotations.

Read pixels and available metadata
Use the pixel dimensions and resolution as different facts: pixel width and height describe the image grid, while resolution helps relate those pixels to a physical print size. If the file will be shared externally, note any visible location details and decide whether to remove them in a separate editing or export workflow.

Record and recheck the output
Record the dimensions alongside the exported filename when delivering multiple frames. If you change the image in Preview, inspect the copy again; the Inspector reflects the current file. It cannot certify that colour, sharpness, or every metadata field is intact, so open the image at full size and keep the original separately.
