A transparent photo strip has a pale edge
Inspect the cut-out on the background where it will live.
An edge that looks invisible on white can appear as a pale outline on a dark canvas. Compare backgrounds before editing the entire portrait.
Isolate the edge problem
Place a copy over a light and a dark background. Look at the outside contour separately from the portrait windows and caption. Determine whether the pale line is an intentional border, a leftover background or part of the export. Keep the untouched original for comparison.
Use a suitable deliverable
PNG can support transparency, but a transparent area and a white painted area remain different. If the destination needs a simple opaque rectangle, compose the strip on the chosen background before delivery. Do not expect a viewer’s display surface to supply the same appearance everywhere.
Evidence: Technical documentation
Test without overcorrecting
Make a small change to a duplicate, then check faces and fine lettering as well as the edge. Aggressive removal can eat into the strip or caption. Open the exported correction in the final destination before replacing the delivery copy, and record which background was approved.
