A photo strip is too large to send
Make a delivery copy without replacing your print master.
A large export can be useful for printing and awkward for a message. Solve the delivery problem on a copy, keeping the best source intact.
Find the destination limit
Check whether the recipient limits file size, pixel dimensions or the number of attachments. These are different constraints. Write down the required format too. A smaller file that the destination cannot open has not solved the problem, even if it passes the upload limit.
Reduce one thing at a time
Duplicate the export. Try reducing its dimensions for screen viewing, then compare faces and small caption text. If using JPEG compression, compare the finished result rather than choosing the lowest quality setting automatically. PNG and JPEG have different compression characteristics; neither extension alone promises a suitable delivery size.
Evidence: Technical documentation
Keep a clear pair
Name the files as master and sharing copy. Send the sharing version through the actual intended route and ask the recipient to open it. Retain the master for another print size or a future delivery requirement. Avoid repeatedly editing and recompressing the only version of the strip.
