Make & keep
Write a useful note for a photo printing lab
Specify the output rather than describing a screen preview.
A lab needs clear dimensions and handling instructions to reproduce the keepsake you approved.
State the measured result
Specify the finished strip size, copy count and whether cropping is permitted. Ask which file format and colour workflow the lab accepts. Keep optional border requirements separate from paper margins. Do not assume a filename or dpi tag communicates the physical dimensions you expect.
Approve a proof where possible
Request a sample or inspect the lab’s preview carefully. Confirm that all frames and caption survive. Keep the supplied file and order note together so a repeat order uses the same version. If a lab cannot honour a particular requirement, revise the design before ordering the batch.
