Make & keep
Put two related strips on one comparison page
Explain their relationship without changing the originals.
A paired page can show the same people at different times or two views of one occasion.
Choose what the pair compares
Decide whether the page compares dates, poses or locations. Preserve each strip’s frame order and use separate captions with source identifiers. Do not crop both into identical shapes if that removes useful borders or notes. A balanced page can still acknowledge that the original objects have different dimensions.
Label the evidence
State confirmed dates separately from guesses and explain any recreated or modern portrait. Use copies for the layout, keeping the masters independent. Check that viewers can tell which caption belongs to which strip without relying on decorative arrows or tiny labels.
