Make & keep
Design an envelope window for a portrait strip
Keep private faces hidden until the recipient opens it.
A decorative window can reveal a caption or pattern without exposing the entire portrait in transit.
Test visibility with a mock-up
Place a replaceable strip in a plain envelope and mark where the window would sit. Decide exactly what should be visible when closed. Keep names and private portraits covered if the envelope will travel publicly. Do not cut an important original to fit a decorative opening.
Check insertion and removal
Try sliding the copy in and out without catching an edge. Keep any cutting or adhesive work on the empty envelope, away from the photograph. Add an internal protective layer if needed for the chosen presentation, and preserve a separate master outside the gift packaging.
