A portrait can personalise a gift while the tag still needs to identify the recipient.
Separate picture and message
Use a reproduction on a slightly larger tag so the name and short message have their own space. Put any attachment point outside the portrait area. Make a paper mock-up before printing the final version, checking that the package does not cover faces or bend the strip across a fold.
Keep it readable
Use a brief caption and a clear recipient name. Check the print at its actual size rather than only zoomed in on a screen. Save a strip-only export alongside the tag layout so the portrait remains available independently of the disposable wrapping.
