Make & keep
Build a four-panel carousel book for a portrait sequence
Stand four scene panels around a central spine to show a strip as a small panorama.
A carousel book opens into a ring of panels and can display a complete four-frame sequence around a central support. Make the structure from copies and test the folds before committing the images.
Set four panels
Cut four equal card panels and leave a narrow hinge between neighbours. Print each frame at the same size, adding a plain margin for glue. Arrange the sequence in reading order and mark the reverse so the panels do not get swapped during assembly.
Build the centre
Make a central square or cross-shaped support from folded card. Attach the first and last panels so they meet when the book opens; connect the middle panels with flexible paper hinges. Keep the hinges unglued across the crease.
Open and inspect
Open the object into a stable ring and check the sequence from every side. It should stand without pulling the panels taut. If the final frame does not meet the first, adjust the hinge spacing. Close it slowly and confirm no image edge catches against the opposite panel.
