How much does a photo booth rental cost?
Compare a real quote by hours, staff, prints, delivery and the things left outside the headline price.
The useful price is the total for your event’s date, place and deliverables. A digital drop-off rental, a staffed print booth and a moving-camera experience are different purchases. There is no single reliable worldwide figure that covers all three.
A dated price example
On 2 October 2026, Booth By Mail’s US product catalogue listed a photo booth rental from US$319 and a printer rental from US$419. These are that supplier’s starting prices, not a market average or a final quote for every date. Check package availability, delivery coverage, taxes and extras at booking.

Make competing quotes comparable
Give every supplier the same date, venue, usable session hours, expected guests and desired output. Ask whether setup and removal happen outside the booked capture window. List delivery, an attendant, backdrop, props, design, prints and the final gallery separately. “All included” means little unless those items are identified.
Simple Booth distinguishes full-service and self-serve rental offerings, illustrating why staffing is a separate comparison point.

Understand print allowances
Clarify whether “100 prints” means 100 sheets, 100 strips or a number of sessions. Two strips cut from one sheet can create different counts. Ask about reprints, copies per guest and the cost when the allowance is exhausted. A digital-only quote cannot be compared fairly with a staffed package including paper and a printer.
Use an event-specific calculation
Add the quoted package, delivery, required extras and applicable taxes, then divide by the usable hours if an hourly comparison helps. Treat that as your own event calculation. Do not divide by every invited guest and call it a guaranteed cost per participant: some people may make several sessions and others none.
Before paying, confirm cancellation, access requirements, backup arrangements and what happens if equipment or delivery fails. Keep the written scope beside the final price so the surprise is in the photographs, not the invoice.
