Inside the booth
Leave room for hats and headwear in a strip
Frame the person as they choose to appear.
A narrow portrait window can cut into a hat, veil or other headwear. Make the intended appearance part of the initial framing test.
Check the finished window
Compose a sample in the actual strip layout rather than judging only a full camera photograph. Leave useful space above the highest visible point. Do not ask the person to remove meaningful headwear simply because a demonstration crop was designed around another sitter.
Move safely and comfortably
Compare a small camera-distance or height adjustment while preserving readable facial detail. Avoid having the person stoop to force the accessory into frame. For a pair, test both outlines together. A larger hat can change how much of the second person remains visible.
Keep the crop approved
Review all frames after gestures or changes in angle. Download a test and inspect the top edge again. Save the original photographs when making a tighter creative version, so the full appearance remains available for another layout or a keepsake the person prefers later.
