A friend joins halfway through a booth session
Handle an interrupted sequence without surprising the people already posing.
Someone stepping into frame late can be a welcome joke or an unwanted interruption.
Make the choice explicit
If possible, ask the current group whether the newcomer should join or wait for another session. Do not squeeze extra people into a space the setup cannot safely accommodate. A four-frame strip can preserve a late arrival intentionally, but the participants should understand that this changes the sequence.
Offer a clean second session
Let the group keep the interrupted strip if they like it. Offer another run when capacity permits rather than secretly deleting the first one. Reset the framing for the new group and check that every face fits. Keep the decision with the people pictured, not with a helper’s idea of a perfect portrait.
