Inside the booth
Set a repeatable chair position for a booth
Make the frame comfortable before the countdown.
A movable chair can change every portrait’s height and distance. A small setup reference keeps guests comfortable without turning the session into a measurement exercise.
Test the real seating
Sit in the chair and look at the actual camera preview. Check headroom, knees if visible and space for a second person. Move the camera as needed rather than asking everyone to lean awkwardly. Keep the chair stable and make sure it does not obstruct an exit or accessible route.
Mark a flexible reference
Use a removable floor or setup note where appropriate. Treat it as a starting point, not a rule that every guest must follow. Offer another arrangement for different heights or mobility needs. The helper should know which adjustments are safe before the room becomes busy.
Save an example portrait
Keep a sample showing the intended crop and label it as a setup test. Recheck after someone moves the chair or camera. A reference photograph makes the goal easier to restore than a verbal instruction such as move it a little back, especially when a new helper takes over.
