Make & keep
Turn a selected photo sequence into a timed slideshow
Build a Photos slideshow project, reorder frames, set duration, preview it, and export a video copy.
A strip’s separate frames can become a short sequence for a family gathering or event screen. Photos for Mac supports a saved slideshow project with an editable order, text and timing. A slideshow export is a video rendition, so keep the still images as the source if you may revise the sequence later.
Create and order the project
Select the images in Photos and choose File > Create > Slideshow > Photos. Choose New Slideshow, name the project, then drag thumbnails into the intended frame order. Add a title or short caption where it helps viewers understand the sequence, and avoid placing important names over faces.

Set timing and preview
Choose a theme and set a custom duration or Fit to Music in the Duration controls, depending on the available theme options. Preview the slideshow from start to finish. Check that transitions do not make the sequence feel like separate unrelated images and that text remains on screen long enough to read.

Export a review video
When ready to share, use File > Export > Export Slideshow, choose the output location and format, and review the resulting video before playing it publicly. Some duration or transition controls are unavailable for some themes. Keep the Photos project and original stills so you can revise timing without rebuilding from a flattened movie.
