Align repeated strip panels precisely in Inkscape
Use alignment controls to clean up a manually built print layout.
When laying out several photo-strip panels on a page, eye-measured spacing tends to drift. Inkscape’s Align and Distribute controls can line objects up or set consistent gaps; keep each image in a separate object while arranging the page.
Select one panel set
Import or place the copied images and select only the panels that belong in one row. Open Align and Distribute, set the reference mode deliberately, and align their top edges or centres according to the design.

Distribute the spacing
Use a distribution command to equalize gaps between selected panels. Check whether the operation is relative to the selection or page; a correct alignment command with the wrong reference can move the group unexpectedly.

Check physical output
Export or print a proof at final dimensions and measure the margins and gaps. The alignment panel changes object placement, not printer scaling. Confirm that the final print dialog uses the intended size and that no fit-to-page option has changed the spacing.
