A four-frame photobooth story with hands
Use a gesture that enters the frame without hiding the faces.
Hands can connect the frames of a strip, but they can also cover the picture’s main subject. Rehearse the shape at the final crop before trying to perform it against the countdown.
Keep the first frame clear
Our plan begins with hands resting below the faces. In the second frame, bring one small gesture into view; in the third, let the other person answer it; in the fourth, return to a relaxed portrait. A wave or a shared object can work without requiring a complicated coordinated sign.
Test the outer edges
Take a single rehearsal picture with the widest version of the gesture. Check fingers, faces and shoulders in the actual template. If the gesture needs more room than the strip window provides, reduce it rather than moving the camera during the sequence.
Keep the result specific
Flashroom supplies the four-photo format; this is our original prompt for using it. Keep the first and last frames readable so the gesture has a beginning and an ending. Save a plain portrait too if the strip is intended as a long-lived family keepsake.
