One-shot and reused developer are different workflows
Follow the product’s capacity rules.
A bottle of working solution is not automatically reusable merely because it still looks clear.
Identify the intended method
Read whether your chosen developer is intended for one-shot use, reuse or replenishment under the specified conditions. These methods can have different capacity and timing requirements. The DD-X technical sheet distinguishes one-shot and reused operation; that distinction should not be transferred blindly to another developer.

Track the actual history
Record the films processed and the preparation history where reuse is supported. Keep that record with the solution. If the history is unknown, do not treat the bottle as a fresh working bath or invent a compensation factor. Resolve the uncertainty using the manufacturer’s guidance before committing important film.
