Film & darkroom
Log two rolls processed together
Keep shared processing and separate exposure histories.
A common tank does not make two rolls’ camera exposure histories identical.
Check compatibility first
Confirm that the selected films and intended processing conditions can be handled together using documented instructions. Check reel configuration, solution volume and chemical capacity. Do not group rolls simply because both look like black-and-white cartridges. Keep film identification and exposure index separate for each roll.
Evidence: Technical data sheet
Give each roll an identifier
Record the shared development session and link both roll records to it. After drying, label their storage separately. If one result differs, compare the individual exposure history as well as the common processing. This avoids attributing every difference to chemistry when the rolls were photographed differently.
