Decide what happens to unclaimed booth prints before the event
Give the host a clear return, holding and disposal process for leftover copies.
Unclaimed prints can contain personal moments. Agree a short retention and collection plan before printing begins; a box on the table is not a long-term storage policy. Assign one named person to close the process after the event.
Name the owner
Ask the host who is responsible for remaining copies and where they can be kept privately. Set a collection deadline and contact method that does not require posting a portrait publicly.
Sort without displaying
At pack-down, place each print in a plain envelope and keep the image face inward. Separate damaged test prints from guest copies and record only the count and relevant ticket numbers. Do not photograph the leftover pile for a public recap.
Close the record
Return the envelopes to the named host or follow the agreed destruction process after the deadline. Note the date, recipient and unresolved items. If a guest requests a copy later, route the request through the host rather than searching open social channels. Tell the host the deadline before the first image is made.
