Our eight booths
Disco ’78 — the Flashroom booth
Golden colour · Soft glow. The story, format and a few ways to make it your own.
The disco is imagined; the invitation is simple. Disco ’78 brings a warm-colour direction to a four-picture session, with a vertical strip as its starting layout.

An original Flashroom design. Era and city names are creative references, not claims about a historic machine.
A mood rather than a replica
The name points to a late-1970s atmosphere, but Flashroom does not claim to reproduce a documented 1978 booth, its lighting system, or its photographic paper. This is a contemporary digital look. Golden colour and a soft-glow direction are design choices, rather than evidence that a picture was made decades ago.
Try a quieter first frame
Begin with a relaxed portrait, then let the expressions grow. Warm clothing can sit naturally in the palette; a simpler background gives faces more room. Use reasonably even light if you want to judge the booth’s colour effect. A strongly coloured lamp adds another cast before the look is applied. These are creative suggestions, not required settings.
Read the four pictures together
The strip gives each exposure its own place in a sequence. Keep the opening and closing poses related, or let the final frame be completely spontaneous. You can choose the app’s grid arrangement when side-by-side comparison suits the session better. Our sample artwork shows the mood; your export will depend on the pictures you take.
