Digital booths
Check camera-processing updates when a familiar strip changes look
The same raw capture can render differently after a processing-engine update.
An operating-system or camera-app update may change denoising, demosaicing or colour rendering. If a familiar booth suddenly looks different, compare processing versions before altering the lighting setup.
Keep a baseline capture
Save an original photo from the current approved setup and record the device and software version. Where RAW is available, keep one RAW file as well as the finished export. The pair helps separate capture changes from later rendering changes.

Compare the same file again
Render the saved RAW file with the old and current processing option if the software allows it. Inspect fine hair, dark shadows, skin colour and gradients at the same output size. If only the new render changes, the camera light may not be the cause.

Update the reference deliberately
If the new rendering is preferred, approve it with a fresh test strip and note the software version. Keep the earlier reference for comparison. Do not assume a RAW file has one permanent appearance; its rendering can change with the converter.
