O que publicamos
Esta edição em inglês abrange as primeiras máquinas de retrato, inventores e artistas, tradições culturais, tipos de cabine fotográfica, ferramentas de câmera, planejamento de eventos, layouts de impressão, preservação, uma pequena seleção de locais listados pelos próprios operadores e os oito designs da Flashroom. Não é um inventário exaustivo de todas as máquinas, pessoas ou localidades. Preferimos uma história documentada a uma invenção apresentada com confiança.
Como interpretar as evidências
As afirmações históricas e técnicas incluem links para registros de museus, arquivos, patentes, documentação de fabricantes, relatos de restauradores ou reportagens atribuídas. A história contada por uma empresa reflete seu ponto de vista; o relato de um visitante não equivale a um levantamento nacional. Mantemos as datas aproximadas e as divergências. Nosso artigo histórico explica por que o protótipo de 1925 e a controversa inauguração da Broadway em 1925–1926 não devem ser tratados como um único acontecimento.

Nossas oito cabines fotográficas são designs contemporâneos
Disco ’78, Flash ’96, Tokyo ’02, Paris ’64, Berlin Noir, Instant ’98, Pop ’67 e Brighton ’82 são nomes criativos da Flashroom. Os anos e lugares sugerem atmosferas; não indicam uma procedência inventada nem números de modelo de máquinas históricas, e tampouco afirmam que nossas imagens digitais usem gelatina de prata física ou filme instantâneo.
Imagens e permissões
A loja de madeira com visual cinematográfico, as fotografias voando e o arquivo atmosférico são ilustrações originais geradas para a Flashroom. Não são evidências documentais. As imagens de exemplo das oito cabines são ilustrações próprias usadas no aplicativo; não são fotos de sessões históricas reais nem demonstrações de imagens capturadas por usuários.
As imagens documentais são identificadas abaixo. Imagens de obras de arte de museu com direitos de reutilização pouco claros ou restritos são vinculadas como fontes de pesquisa em vez de reproduzidas. Ler a página de um museu não dá automaticamente permissão para usar sua imagem.
