Use eyelines to connect two people in a strip
Let the looks change while the framing remains steady.
Two people can tell a small story by changing whom they look at. The sequence needs no large gesture, and its first and last frames can remain useful portraits in their own right.
Start together
Our plan begins with both people facing the camera. In the second frame, one looks toward the other; in the third, the look is returned; in the fourth, both face forward again. Rehearse which person moves first so the countdown does not become a confusing discussion.
Keep the movement within the frame
Turn the gaze or head slightly rather than changing seats. Check that the person near the edge remains visible after the final crop. If the camera preview is mirrored, use names rather than left and right when giving instructions.
Let the saved result decide
Flashroom supplies a four-photo countdown, while this sequence is an optional original prompt. Keep a take even if the exchange is imperfect when it captures a moment you both like. Agree which version to share rather than choosing the most theatrical expression for the other person.
