Screenshot or original photo strip?

A screenshot is convenient, but it can include the editor, omit an edge or preserve a display-size version rather than the export you designed.

Identify the purpose

For a quick conversation about a layout, a screenshot may be enough. For printing or saving the finished strip, start with the editor’s actual download. Keep interface screenshots separately so a printer or guest does not mistake a preview with controls for the requested image file.

Compare the edges

Open the original export and screenshot side by side. Check all four edges, portrait windows and caption. Compare their pixel dimensions and look for interface elements or a changed background. Our web editor’s PNG includes the composed layout, whereas a screenshot captures whatever was displayed in the selected screen area.

Label feedback and final files

Use a filename that distinguishes a review screenshot from a finished strip. Send feedback images when discussing a crop, then deliver the export once the correction is made. Keeping those purposes separate prevents a low-detail preview becoming the only copy preserved after the event.
