Make & keep
Rotate the copies in a small portrait display
Keep a record of what was shown.
A changing display can give a collection variety while leaving the originals protected.
Choose replaceable display copies
Prepare a small set of reproductions with clear identifiers and captions. Keep valuable originals in suitable storage. Use a mounting arrangement intended for easy replacement rather than repeatedly peeling adhesive from a photograph. Check the display position for glare and exposure to moisture.
Evidence: Preservation guidance
Record each selection
Keep a simple list of which copies were displayed and when. Save the layout and labels for future reuse. If the display is public, revisit audience and rights questions for each new item rather than assuming permission for one portrait applies to the whole collection.
