Make & keep
Add a removable strip pocket to a notebook
Keep the keepsake accessible without gluing it down.
A separate pocket can hold a reproduction and allow it to be taken out for viewing.
Measure the actual copy
Make a spare-paper pocket slightly larger than the print and test insertion. Keep the opening easy to reach and leave the portrait visible when removed. Attach the empty pocket to a notebook page rather than applying adhesive to the photograph. Avoid pressure from a bulky pocket near the binding.
Choose archive or everyday use
For a working notebook, use a replaceable copy. For original photographs, consult appropriate storage-material guidance and use a protective enclosure intended for photographs. A homemade craft pocket is not automatically an archival enclosure simply because it contains an old image.
