Make & keep
Tag strip scans and gather them in a Smart Album
Create one consistent keyword, apply it through Keyword Manager, then build an automatically updating Mac album.
Keywords are useful when a library contains several events, scanners, or portrait types. A Smart Album can collect items from criteria instead of requiring you to add every new scan by hand. This workflow uses Photos on Mac; Apple notes that Smart Albums created on Mac do not appear in Photos on iPhone or iPad.
Create and apply the keyword
Select the relevant scans and choose Window > Keyword Manager. Choose Edit Keywords, add a term such as “booth-strip,” then return to the manager and click the term to apply it to selected photos. Drag used labels to Quick Group for faster assignment and later filtering.

Set the Smart Album rule
Choose File > New Smart Album, name it, and set a condition for Keyword is booth-strip. Add another condition only when useful, such as a date range or Favorite status. Set Match to all if every condition must apply; choose any if one condition is enough. Click OK and new matching scans appear automatically when they receive the keyword.

Check its scope
Test the rule with a known frame and one image that should not match. Smart Albums evaluate the library, so they are not a folder that owns independent copies. Rename a keyword carefully: the name is part of your search vocabulary. For access on an iPhone, create a regular album or use iCloud Photos; Smart Albums themselves stay Mac-side.
