Make & keep
Correct dates or locations on a batch of iPhone photos
Adjust incorrect scan dates or assigned places in Photos, then use Revert if the source metadata should be restored.
Imported scans can appear beside the wrong day in a photo timeline, while a camera may attach an approximate or incorrect location. Photos on iPhone can adjust date, time, and location for an individual image or a selected batch. Keep a note of the original values before editing archival records.
Choose the metadata field
Open one image and tap More, choose Adjust Info, then choose Adjust Date & Time or Adjust Location. For date corrections, use the calendar and clock; for a place, enter a location and select the matching result. If several frames share the same correction, return to the library, tap Select, choose that set, and apply the same adjustment.

Apply one correction to selected frames
Check that you selected only the intended session before applying a batch change. A strip may show a sequence photographed minutes apart, so assigning one rounded timestamp to every frame can flatten the order. For scanned prints, prefer a known session date and preserve the scan date in your own record if both dates matter.

Restore the original value if needed
To undo a Photos metadata change, open the item, tap More, choose Adjust Info, enter the same Adjust Date & Time or Adjust Location panel, and choose Revert. This restores the original value Photos retained. Reverting metadata is separate from reverting visual edits, and an absent original location will be removed rather than replaced with a guessed address.
