Prepare the drying space before processing
Know where wet film will go.
The last stage is easier when the hanging arrangement is ready before the roll becomes wet.
Check a clear suitable area
Follow the film and equipment guidance for clips, handling and drying. Keep the space away from unnecessary disturbance and chemical preparation. Test the available hanging length with an expendable equivalent. Do not improvise a cramped position that forces wet film to touch surfaces or curl around unrelated objects.

Preserve a clean handoff
Have suitable clips and a clear drip arrangement ready. Avoid touching the image area or using an improvised hot-air treatment. Record drying observations in the session log. After the film is fully dry, move it into suitable identified storage rather than leaving an important roll exposed indefinitely.
